My name is Grant Barber, I am a Licensed Professional Counseling Associate with a clinical background working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I approach counseling from a person-centered perspective, recognizing that each individual brings unique experiences, strengths, challenges, and goals to the therapeutic process. My clinical experience includes working with individuals experiencing a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, personality disorders, PTSD, eating disorders, suicidal ideation, self-harm, addiction, and interpersonal relationship difficulties.
I believe the therapeutic relationship is at the heart of meaningful change. I strive to create a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and respected. Through collaboration and genuine connection, I work alongside clients to better understand their experiences, develop insight, build upon their strengths, and identify meaningful paths toward growth and healing.
I view therapy as a collaborative process and believe clients are the experts in their own lives. My goal is to meet each person where they are, foster a strong therapeutic alliance, and provide support as they work toward greater self-understanding, resilience, and meaningful change.
