Nicole Hayes, LPC, LMHC is a licensed counselor in the states of CT and RI who works with adults and adolescents coping with mental health disorders. She has experience conducting individual, group, and couples therapy in outpatient behavioral health facilities that provide treatment for individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. She regularly engages in educational opportunities that enhance her ability to serve these populations and is trained in specialty treatment modalities including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR) and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). She has a person-centered approach incorporating various methods to meet the needs of the individual, from traditional cognitive behavioral and psychodynamic approaches to modern mindfulness-based techniques. Nicole has a passion for working with survivors of traumatic events helping them find their inner strengths and learn new skills for a more balanced life. She is a member of the Connecticut Counseling Association, National Board of Certified Counselors, American Counseling Association, and Chi Sigma Iota honors society. She is a graduate of Southern Connecticut State University with a Master of Science degree in Community Mental Health Counseling and has a background in secondary education.
