Shelby Bethel
Therapist
Hello, my name is Shelby Bethel. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate (LPC-A). I have a clinical background working with children, adolescents, and adults in both outpatient and forensic settings. I’m passionate about guiding others to build compassion for themselves in a safe, welcoming environment allowing the development of healthy coping skills and resiliency.
I specialize in supporting those with anxiety, depression, life transitions, and anger. I utilize a combination of evidence based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)/mindfulness, art therapy, and play therapy to boost awareness and promote emotional & physical regulation. I also emphasize a person centered approach and the importance of a therapeutic rapport. You’re taking the courageous first step and I’m here to take these next steps with you, wherever the journey may lead.
